Make My Meal Monday

So it's time again to tantalize your taste buds...or just mildly make your mouth water!! This week I had a helper while I made dinner. So, you'll see why this is called the mommy jungle blog!!! So, without further adieu this week's recipe is.......Pepperoni Roll! Quick and easy, Mike said it would make a great super bowl dish! My mom used to make an awesome homemade version of this but I dont feel like taking the time to make my own bread (which she did and it was amazing!!!!!) so here's the quick way!****updated to tell you my mom informed me its all been a lie.....it was frozen bread dough!!!!!!****
The ingredients:

16 oz Italian pizza dough (I used the publix premade dough)
8 oz shredded mozzarella
4 oz pepperoni
(1 egg white, 1 t dry mustard, 1 t garlic salt,
1 t pepper, 4 t Italian seasoning)
14 oz jar pizza sauce

What you do:

Spread pizza crust dough into a large rectangle
on  sprayed cookie sheet.

 Brush w/ egg white.
Sprinkle spices evenly, then cheese, then
pepperoni. Roll loaf up, lengthwise.
 Pinch ends.
Place seam side down. Brush egg white on top.
Bake 20 min @400, until bread is done. Serve w/
warmed spaghetti sauce for dipping

So there it is! Incredibly tasty and super easy!!! Get to cooking!!! Tomorrow, my take on tonight's Bachelor Episode!!!

Fun Friday

So the fun of the week...drumroll.....Explorations V Children's Museum in Lakeland. Little Explorers of Kissimmee (the best mommy group out there ;)) planned an outing over there. Admission was only 5.00 for adults and kiddos under 2 are free. One of the coolest places I've been. There are 3 floors of fun, the first floor was made up of a town. Police Car, fire engine, water cycle table, doctors office, space shuttle, airplane, Bank, tv studio and a mini publix! Everything is touchable, and welcomes little hands to explore. The kids had a great time discovering each different station and the moms had a great time watching the delight on their faces!

The top floor is geared toward older ages and some really cool science experiments for them to try out! Also, there is a puppet stage with lighting effects and all. Needless to say our kiddos were a bit to young for this floor, but look forward to trying it out in the future!

The bottom floor is an orange grove and juice plant. There are "oranges" aka orange balls on trees the kids can pick, sort in chutes (one goes to the juice factory, one goes to a  fruit stand and the other to a house) The chute to the factory is up on a platform, they roll the oranges down and sort them and juice them. It will be a cool learning process later, but for now they had fun knocking all the oranges off the trees, going up the tree platform and coming down the slide. A few of them enjoyed the sorting and "juicing" station, but Caitlin just like to play!!

All in all, it was a great trip that all of us moms enjoyed and look forward to visiting again. If you live in Kissimmee, and havent heard of it, check it out. I havent found anything like it here (other than the science center) for the price!!!
I hope you all enjoyed the first week of the new blog! I have loved writing it and look forward to many more fun weeks!!! Have a fantastic weekend!

Thoughtful Thursday

It is only possible to live happily ever after on a day-to-day basis. Margaret Bonnano

Many people talk about falling out of love with someone, like its a fleeting feeling that comes and goes as it pleases. I beg to differ. Love is a choice each day when you wake up. You can choose to love the person next to you no matter their faults and choose to let them in, or you can choose not to. No one said love is easy, that its a piece of cake. I'm here to tell ya, if they say that, its bull. Everyone fights about something, and has their issues, but you choose to love your spouse. People confuse love with lust. Lust comes and goes, its a feeling. The newness of marraige wears off and people fall out of lust not love with their spouse. Hello, I dont look like I did 7 years ago when I met Mike, so thank God he loves me for who I am, not what I am. I choose to love Mike everyday, because looking at forever is scary! I know God has a plan for us, and I trust in that. Its my job as a wife to support him and encourage him to be the best partner he can be. I have to make that choice everyday! I choose my happily ever after every day....and I hope you would do the same :)

Wordless Wednesday

Caitlin so excited to meet a Baa!

Trashy Tuesday

So, I just watched the RHOBH(Real housewives of Beverly Hills) Reunion special, so its fresh in my mind! Lets just start off by saying these women have WAY to much money than they know what to do with! They knew how much a gucci purse cost but not a gallon of milk....I dont know how much anything gucci costs other than more than I have!! So here's my take
Camille Grammer- Phony, social awkward, fame seeking princess. Tries to keep her name in the news
Kyle- Related to paris hilton....need I say more? She has a nice family, but more drama has surrounded her than I care to tell here!
Kim- Kyle's Sister, also hilton related..ugh, apparently has a drinking problem, more will we told next week. She is odd too, picks fights with Taylor just because...mean girls style
Taylor- holy lip implants batman! She is in a loveless marriage with a guy whos butt ugly....I dont get it!!
Lisa- Love her, shes witty, loves her dog more than her husband its seems, all together the funniest this season
Adrienne- The peacemaker and the most real person on this one. She and her hubby quip back and forth like most married couples I know!

So this was part one of the reunion, where nothing really exciting came out...I am sure Bravo is saving it all for the finale finale...they drag this on and on. I did think this was better than the OC housewives last season, but New Jersey remains my favorite for all its trashy goodness!! On a side note, saw the promo for the Bethanny Ever After show and so excited!!

Disclaimer- I watch way too much tv, I know it. Its my outlet..so wah...I just feel like talking about it, dont like it dont read it!!!!

Next Week- Bachelor Review!!!!

Make My Meal Monday

So, no pictures this time as I didnt remember to take any but will share my favorite main dish of the week!
Creamy Spiced Pork Chops
1 lb boneless pork chops (i used butterfly chops)
1/4 c italian bread crumbs
1/4 c horseradish (I used kraft as its not too spicy, but choose your fav)
1/4 c melted butter/margarine

Spray 8x8 dish with non stick spray.Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix the breadcrumbs, horseradish and butter together in a measuring cup. Put pork chops in greased pan. Spread mixture over top of the chops evenly. Bake approx 35 mins or until cooked thoroughly.

Thats it! They were so tasty!!! Enjoy!

Welcome!!!

Back to Blogging! This time, however, I have a format in mind. Im hoping to blog daily, but we shall see how that goes. If I dont get to it everyday, then I will update as possible!!! I've seen some awesome blogs that I love and I wanted to create something that provides me a space to share some fun stuff throughout the week! So here's the plan
Monday- Make my Meal Monday- I'll post my favorite recipe (hopefully with pics) and how it went!
Tuesday- Trashy Tuesday- I'll run down my favorite show of the week, be prepared, its usually something reality based and not worth watching but I love it, so will you ;)
Wednesday- Wordless Wednesday- I'll post my favorite picture of the week and hope someone out there comments!!
Thoughtful Thursday- I'll find a cool quote and break it down Leslie style
Friday- Fun Friday- I'll tell ya something fun we did together, either me and the monks, or the whole family, or whoever we had fun with!!

SO thats the plan! I hope I can stick to it, but ya know this is for fun! I'll be posting this whole week tonight so stay tuned!!
